Popularity neither indicates nor implies support for content. It is obvious to anyone who visits Blaska's self-constructed fantasy land that the majority of his "followers" are actually folks trying to correct his factual inaccuracies and identify his hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty.

Oh yeah, and then there's Sloan, who (as the eternal sycophant) plays Chester to Blaska's Spike.

Sloan: "Yeah, yeah Dave- what you said. That's right, say it again! Yeah, just like that. You go, girl!"

In hindsight, I think I should have said "users" instead of "followers." I'll make the change when I write my great american novel. But I'll still credit Stewart.

Save your denial for those who are interested in the lies and distortions you peddle.

What qualifies an article as being "most popular" It looks like it might have something to do with number of comments. If that's the case then it's bullshit. Half the time its Dave commenting on his own blog or having a back and forth fight with one person.

This is the type of comical parsing I'm talking about. The left will spin itself into the ground trying to explain that the electoral ass-kicking didn't really happen last November, why their self-described referendum on Walker just failed or why Blaska's popular blog posts aren't really that popular.

Madison's insular "group-think" mentality seems to be the cause of the cognitive dissonance that's so painfully on display here and in other threads. It's a crutch for the fearful and closed-minded and it perpetuates itself in the fevered loam of Madison's leftist worldview.

This is kind of comical sock puppet spin everybody's talking about. If anybody reads it for any reason, it's popular, and if it's popular, it's good journalism.

And they say this stuff with a straight face.

Hey, Blaska brought up his popularity. I just wanted to know what parameters are used to put these articles on the popularity chart.

Oh, and if you don't think the right does the EXACT same things you described above then you really do have you head up your ass. It's called spin dipshit and everyone tries to use it to their advantage, including Blaska.

Know what's depressing? That when Blaska says that the best some of you can come up with are profanity-laced tantrums in response to his writing -- that is, when you're not just blatantly demanding for it to be removed from your sight altogether -- he's often absolutely right.

Some of you I know and have a lot of respect for. You express yourself beautifully in other areas of life and clearly understand and convey the brightest spirit of living in Madison during this time, one way or another. So why are you allowing yourselves to be sucked into this ridiculous back-and-forth?

What good are you doing to your own argument? Does it make you feel better? Does it give you some escape to just sound off belligerently and profanely? I'm genuinely interested. Are you comfortable admitting that you can't help but be engaged by a blogger you purport to despise?

Or is this the way you express your fandom, by playing directly into his hand?

Way to be a thread killer, Jason.

For my part, I like to engage Blaska--and Ned, too, for that matter--at about their level of any discussion. To wit--

Hey! Maybe Ned and Blaska could dress up like those Disney adolescent ranch hands from the Mickey Mouse Club and go as Spin and Marty Dipshit next Halloween!

Yep- when you delete comments to Blaska's blog that question the validity of his statements and draw attention to his hypocrisy. It's especially depressing when you defend the deletion by calling the comments "off-topic." Now THAT'S depressing.

Spin and Marty! Memories from Blaska's, yours and my past. Maybe even Ned's (although I think he is too young to understand that cultural reference). Jason... way, way too young.

Back to the discussion.
