Walker, where are those jobs you promised?

Please limit discussion in this area to local and state politics.

Again I ask: Walker, where are those jobs you promised?

The Wisconsin Legislature is only meeting for one day this month and job creation is not on the agenda. But why should they worry. They already have jobs.

Well, that Archer woman got a nice $90,000+ a year job as a legislative liaison, which is far more than anyone else in that position ever got.

Scott Walker: Improving Wisconsin's economy one political crony at a time!

Walker, train killer, now owes us 42,808 new jobs.

250000 jobs ÷ 1460 days = 171 jobs / day. 171 jobs x 250 days = 42,808 new jobs were promised to be created. 42,808 jobs.

I understand that there was quite a long line at the Job Fair on Aberg.

Somebody with balls the size of prairie oysters should call up former republican (and now Tea Party) supporter Nancy Mistele, who ran for County Executive, and ask her why she is out of business. She did run on being a "successful" business owner.

Unfortunately, for those of us in any industry related to construction or real estate, we know that the Tea Party call for hands off all government intervention led to total bank malfeasance and destroyed the businesses that we have. But really, ask Nancy and she'll tell you Obama killed her, even though she lost her own business all by herself.

Defenders are going to say regulation killed Mrs. Mistele's business, but guess what? We've been deregulating in the construction industry since 1980. (Detractors will claim the lead law, but they won't tell you that lead law certification costs less than an afternoon on the golf course.)

Ethical contractors have no problem with regulations. We keep lakes clean, we construct homes that stand up to storms, we don't pollute the water supply. On and on. Regulation is not killing business. It's not killing mine. Lack of regulation IS.

The latest idea from the GOP brain trust: firing felons will create jobs.

Henry, I'd ease up on the job-creation accountability considering national unemployment is 9.1% and our infrastructure still looks like shit considering all the 'stimulus' we've spent.

You're proving that neither side can turn a giant ship like the US Economy with a row boat. Let nature take its course.

On the national stage, federal tax breaks for corporations which export jobs overseas cost America many jobs. I propose that those tax breaks end. But you would do nothing.

In an interview on the teevee the other night, Walker was asked about the recall and he said he is focused on creating 250,000 new jobs in the state. How long can he keep using that silly tagline?

Democrats Assail Walker, GOP Jobs Agenda

Assembly Democratic Minority Leader Peter Barca said there is no urgency on behalf of Walker or Republicans in control of the Legislature to put forward meaningful job creation bills.

He and other Democrats said instead Republicans are focused on giveaways to corporate special interests.

This should be the major issue in the campaign to recall Walker.

Well, that and destroying the quality of life and everything else in Wisconsin. They're also now working on going after sex ed, clean water and pay equity requirements ... and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I guess the "jobs jobs jobs" will be for the thousands of bureaucrats who will be needed to clean up the scorched rubble of the state's laws after we get these bastards out of office.

Still waiting...

State private sector employment slides for third straight month

Private-sector employment fell in September in Wisconsin for the third consecutive month, according to the latest report released Thursday by the state Department of Workforce Development.

The state lost an estimated 900 jobs among private-sector employers, it said. The manufacturing sector alone lost 3,000 jobs.

But employment in the government sector - particularly the state and local sector - continued to plummet, losing an estimated 11,700 jobs at public-sector agencies. The government sector has been shedding jobs for two years.

Politicians don't create jobs.

But they are very good at selling them. Ever wonder why those summer jobs in the Dells are now done by young kids from Eastern Europe? Why 99 percent of your company's IT department is now made up of contractors from India? Why your newspaper, if you still get one, is delivered by a middle-aged Mexican instead of a 12-year-old neighborhood kid?

Jobs and factories don't have to be "shipped overseas" when you can simply import the workers here, pay them less, and forget about pesky nuisances like Social Security, health care and retirement benefits, or other taxes. If anyone doesn't like it, they are [according to conservatives] anti-business union thugs or [according to liberals] racist xenophobic pigs.

You are being replaced because, according to Dubya "People are coming to put food on the table. They're doing jobs Americans will not do."

We live in a time when the 1 percent is looting and selling the country out from under the rest of us. Although they justify in different ways, both political parties support this practice.

Walker is full of @#$ about jobs? So is Obama with his make-work jobs paid for with borrowed money.
