I think I did this once before too, but I found the last thread pretty interesting.

Endo Rockstar was a stage name I used twice.

Once in a performance rock outfit aptly named "The Clobbererers," at a show where we covered one song, "Friends of P" by the Rentals on various instruments including but not limited to a metal trash can full of broken glass.

The second time was in a ridiculous Noise/Electronic/Rock Outfit that never got off the ground called The I.R.S. (The Infamous Rock Show) with my buddy Brian Graupner (Formerly "Sleeping Disorder" now goes by DarkNES with the Gothsicles)

Underneath it all I'm still the same old Dan Motor, but I don't have the heart to change my name here on the Forum. I don't want to lose the "Joined in 2002" next to my name.

-Dan Motor

my full fake name is "Harlan Huckleby", a god-awful running back for Packers in late 70's. Eight years ago, I started a packer forum with crazy mexican guy from California (why he is a pack fan remains a mystery.) I used HH as name, with an avatar of Huckleberry Hound

My eccentric amigo continues to run forum, and I post there sometimes:

Where's the link to the document? What are you trying to hide?

I'm one of thousands of online Galoots, and I have a hat to prove it.

The online community of hand-tool woodworkers and collectors has used that collective nickname since the mid-1990's. If you know a bruzz from a Bedrock, you're probably a Galoot.

My family and I were riding up to the Dells many years ago. There was a sign with a giant ape on it that said: See Gargantua! My young son said "that's Dad " and we all burst out laughing. Even though I didn't see the resemblance.

My brother and I used to play this Jeopardy video game where you could type in names for the contestants. We used to make up fake names for them and then purposely make them answer incorrectly so that we would win. I don't remember where we came up with the names, but one of them was "Patricia McNutt."

This explains it all for me:

Walter, I love you, but sooner or later, you're going to have to realize the fact that you're a goddamn moron.

I registered mostly to lurk. I thought of Chance the gardener, from "Being There," and his misunderstood explanation, "I like to watch."

My first motorcycle was a Ducati. The welcome letter I received from the company (Italian postmark, no less) after I bought my bike started out "Welcome, Ducatista," and I liked the sound of it.

My handle is a derivation by childhood friends of my nickname, which derives from (part of) my real name. At least one of the few people in the world who would probably guess my identity (no big whoop) lives in Madison, but I haven't steered him towards TDPF because I want his discovery to happen naturally, if at all.

In high school my friends and I made up our own fake WASPy names for some reason. Being the mid 90's we were all on AOL and I shortened Wallace Rockefeller to wallrock and I've used that as my internet handle ever since.
