What the GOP really thinks about Obama

Postby Henry Vilas » Thu Mar 01, 2012 6:36 pm

A Bush appointed federal judge, who admits to hating the president, sent the following racist email about Obama.

"A little boy said to his mother, 'Mommy, how come I'm black and you're white?' His mother replied, 'Don't even go there Barack! From what I can remember about that party, you're lucky you don't bark!'"

Since this was made public, he now says he is sorry.

I think it's shameful the way he's being treated. The guy spends years and years pretending he's not racist. Then he makes one freakin little slip and these people can't let it go.

Only a racist would think that email is funny, and only a complete freakin idiot would send it out with his name on it.

Then there is Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the birther movement, which somehow still lives on.

At a news conference, Arpaio said the probe revealed that there was probable cause to believe Obama's long-form birth certificate released by the White House in April is a computer-generated forgery. He also said the selective service card completed by Obama in 1980 in Hawaii also was most likely a forgery.
...
Republican presidential candidates have courted him for his endorsement throughout the primary season. At last week's Republican presidential debate in Arizona, Arpaio won loud cheers. During a question about Arizona's border woes, Sen. Rick Santorum said the government ought to give local police agencies the chance to enforce immigration law as Arpaio has.

We have seen this before. When a right wing Democrat occupies the White House and encroaches on Republican policy turf, the Republicans have no choice but distance themselves by appealing to racism, homophobia, invented histories, etc... Hell, they still refer to the "Man From Hope" as a glassy eyed Socialist despite his "ending welfare as we know it" and NAFTA.

Don't forget the repeal of Glass-Steagall. Without which we wouldn't have had the beautiful economy we've had the past 3 years.

Senator Harry Reid (D) Nevada:
Barack Obama – whom he described as a "light skinned" African-American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one"

Vice President Joe Biden (D) Mars:
"the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

William Jefferson Clinton (D) Ex-POTUS, Universal Stud:
Former President Bill Clinton's efforts to persuade Sen. Edward M. Kennedy to endorse his wife's presidential bid fell flat when Clinton told the Democratic lawmaker that just a few years ago, "Obama would have been serving the pair coffee."

Hillary Clinton (D) New York:
(Obama is) a truly inspirational speaker who has not done the spade work....

Billy Graham's son and heir to his ministry, a darling of the religious right, thinks Obama might be a Muslim.

Maybe Ned thinks so too.

Hell? He's probably already there with that wife of his.

Personally, I'd settle for him going back to play in that dirty political dumpster in Chicago.
