WSJ headline: Ron Paul, rock star to college students...

If it's news, but not politics, then it goes here.

WSJ headline: Ron Paul, rock star to college students...

Uhhh, really? You're going with the "rock star" metaphor there, even when college students are firmly in that part of the population where actual rock stars still matter?

This rock star business has to stop. I begged for it to stop years ago when someone insisted that Odessa Piper was a rock star. Then at a tea party, Mark Block referred to Vicki McKenna as "the rock star of radio."

Please stop. Please.

Somewhere there's a highly regarded petrologist pulling out what's left of his hair.

From that article:

For example, more than 4,000 students attended a Feb. 27 Paul rally at Michigan State University. But the next day, at polling places surrounding the campus, Paul received only 3,128 votes. He finished third.

I find that kind of funny. Plus Paul only got about 3000 people here. decent, but not rock star status of any kind.

Obama rally had how many people when he came here? What kind of status would the State Journal give him?

If you think about it he is like a rock star - he travels to places far from his home and people give him a lot of money for not much work.
