Has anyone gotten tickets yet?

Is this softwareREALLY bad, or is my luck just bad today? I'm on my 4th try for WIFF tix, and I've already lost one movie......

I almost forgot to order today (this business of an extra week after the schedule's published really threw me off), then saw WFF's "sorry for the problems" post on facebook. Apparently you're not alone w/the ordering issues.

I feel your pain... I get full-on panicky when I have trouble ordering, afraid I'm going to miss out on some of my picks. I've never had anything sell out in the 10 years I've been buying tickets, though I have had ordering trouble more often than not.

Not sure how I lucked out this year: started my Wish List at 1:20, had purchased tix for all 13 films by 1:30.

Oh, and my advice to anybody who's having to break a big order into multiple smaller orders: place your orders by size of venue, starting with the smallest theater.

Hey Kiwi, try Firefox. That's what I used, and WFF just confirmed that problems seem to be browser specific.

[ETA: er, maybe not. People are reporting problems with Firefox, too.]

Weve been through firefox, safari AND explorer on macs and Pc laptops, as well as the iPad. No luck with any of them since noon, and I'm already down two movies. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Charter internet, wireless, Mac, Firefox. Built my Wish List, added films to cart from there. I thought the List-to-Cart process was clunky, but it went off without a hitch.

It's WORKING, it's up and it worked the FIRST TIME through. April Fool's Day is now officially over.

Happy picking!

ATTENTION JJOYCE: One of the most valuable issues of The Isthmus is the one in which the Wisconsin Film Festival is previewed and movies are reviewed.

It also helps that the WFF puts a lot of trailers on their site now.

Glad to hear it! If any of your movies are sold out, don't discount standby. I know a lot of people who've gotten into sold out films that way.

Agreed. Not very eco of me, but I always grab two copies and rip out the schedule centerfold from the WFF supplements. One's my scheduling worksheet (circles, arrows, cross-outs, coffee stains), and one's a clean version with the winning movies marked.

Hey Duce! (pronounce that as Duke, not Deuce)

Could you send me a photo of your coffee-stained film fest guide? Our art department will get a charge out of it.

Ha! Happy to send the photo, IF you promise not to publish. My husband would totally know it was my handiwork, and he never wants to know what we're going to see.

Yes! I do this too - one beat-up stained version in my backpack for the preplanning and then the inevitable what-are-you-seeing questions, and one pristine version at home, to take with me to the actual movies!

That one even gets the where to go for coffee, lunch, dinner and drinks written on it. Then it is a real guide, and I don't even have to access wifi or hit the computer at work during the festival like we did in the early years (99-02).

Thanks so much for putting this out every year. It's one of the many reasons I still read the paper version cover to cover every single week.
