If the budget changes you might want to consider Lake Mills.

That is what I would like to do! Except in Madison with more subdued decor using someone else's money.

Do you think it was a good idea to dye Lake Delton blue?

Only if they will profit more than the $30k they spent to do it by not losing tourists that wouldn't have come if the water was green. Assuming it is "environmentally friendly" that is. Tommy Bartlett is such a huge draw in the Dells though that I find it hard to believe that they will lose that much in sales just because the water is green.

This still isn't as bad as when Green Bay sprayed perfume in the East River in the 50's to reduce the smell from the paper plants (forgive me if I'm off a little bit on the timing.) The river ended up starting on fire!

Are there any public high schools that teach philosophy?

I think there should be. It might help the state of our youth.
I would have liked to take philosophy in high school. I took physics twice with my good friend Jen. Once just to absorb the content,
the second time for a grade.

A benison article I saw that might interest the dudes:

What’s your top 3 favorite smells?

    1. My mom
    2. A whiff of flowers in the air (esp. lilacs)
    3. A summer rain (tied with the smell of my dog;
    she smells like peanuts;)

I’m a big believer in pheromones! Quite a bit of research has been done recently on the topic, here’s just one link: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/library/01/6/l_016_08.html

West High School has a philosophy class. I took it in the '70s from Tom Jones, now retired; the fellow teaching it now was in that class with me. How's that for continuity?

Don't you mean hear the moon ring?

I saw the caller ID and didn't pick up. When he's full, you can't get him off the phone.

Two questions actually:

1. Most of the topic titles that grab my attention, once clicked inform me the topic no longer exists. Why do only the good die young?

2. Where are the forks? We started out with a full set. I now have a plethora of large spoons, but the fork population has been decimated. Leprechauns?

The underpants gnomes's business model didn't work out, so they branched out into other lines, such as forks.

Absolutely--they sneak away your forks during the night, when you're sleeping, and put them out in the road, where someone takes them in the morning.
