I think a president who fails in his oath to protect the constitution should immediately resign. Just as Nixon resigned. Do you think Obama doesn't know he violated this person's first amendment rights? He absolutely does know. And he will do it again if he chooses to - all in an attempt to hold on to power. Obama's love of power is equal to his hostility to the American middle class.

I am not sure what flavor of false equivalence/projection you're getting after here, but I can tell you I am very much concerned with the picks Paul Singer has made.

Perhaps that would be a more interesting thread topic.

As I recall, on 9/11 the reports were 4 years old and extremely vague. Something along the lines of "Someone may try to hijack a plane and crash it into a building somewhere."

In your considered wisdom, even in hindsight, what should Clinton and later Bush, have done in response to the "threat"?

John Henry

Yeah, I thought not.

Here is the full text of the intelligence report I think you are referring to. (If you had something else in mind, could you share?)

"We have not been able to corroborate some of the more sensational threat reporting, such as that from a [-] service in 1998 saying that Bin Ladin wanted to hijack a US aircraft to gain the release of "Blind Shaykh" 'Umar 'Abd al-Rahman and other US-held extremists."

From the 9/11 Commission report

First question: Why do you mention Bush, Cheney, Rice for not taking action when the "intelligence" came to govt notice during the Clinton years?

Second, as I asked before, what action would you have taken had you been president in September of 1998 or 2001?

Great.
So which former Presidents should have resigned?
Pretty simple question if you're sincere.

Why don't you tell us? Should Nixon have resigned?

Don't try to put this shit on me. You are the one hyperbolically calling for Obama's resignation. I have no position to defend. Stand by your statements or shut the fuck up. Quit dodging and answer my very simple question: Which former Presidents should have resigned for "failing in his oath to protect the constitution?"

Richard Nixon.

I'm not being hyperbolic. Calling for Barack Obama's resignation is an understatement.

So that's it.
Richard Nixon (who did resign) and Obama.

You are such a transparent jackass.

Isn't pretty much everyone involved in the TDPF transparent in their one sidedness? Maybe not all jackasses but certainly transparent.

I predict he will not join the Solidarity Singers for a rousing chorus of "Union Maid."

I predict less visable security at Obama's speech than at the neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement rally Nov.10 at the square.
