No, there is no evidence of Obama changing his mind.

We should fire him. Fire Romney too in four years if he can't do any better.

If Obama has learned enough from his mistakes, he can run for a second term and be elected again in 2016.

Make it 2024 - give his daughters a chance to have normal childhoods with what remains of them.

I like "dumber" right where it is. The contrast is what makes the point.

Dumb, dumber, and dumber yet.

The earned income credit helped me through a few lean years when I had started a consulting business. I started consulting to supplement my income, but when I went full-time I found it allowed me to have a flexible schedule to take care of my daughter without having to use day care.

I don't think Romney or Ryan or any of the upper class Republicans understand how much middle class Americans who want to become small business "job creators" depends on this part of the tax code to get their business running.

It would be great if we were a company, but we're not and people who keep thinking it can be run like one are morans.

Well at least we're not morons.

No, the country is not a company. But the electorate does have the power to fire incumbent politicians. It should be our default position. Keep them on their toes. Let them know who's boss. Power to the people, right on.

One recent analysis showed that
96 percent have relied on the federal government to assist them. Young adults, who are not yet eligible for many policies, account for most of the remaining 4 percent.

On average, people reported that they had used five social policies at some point in their lives.

Their analysis is limited to 21 specific policies.
These policies do not include government activity that benefits everyone — national defense, the interstate highway system, food safety regulations — but only tangible benefits that accrue to specific households.

In other words, everybody's well-being and welfare is dependent on the government in one or another.

Click that link. No comment necessary, except to say it completely undermines the notion of any separation between "makers" and "takers."

Good point and quite true.

What I meant and should have said is: the percentage of the electorate who are entirely and permanently dependent on government for their well-being and welfare is more like 22%.

I found the link to your statistic quite interesting. It was a pretty quick read.

So of the 22% who may not pay INCOME tax, none of them have any type of job whatsoever? 100% of their income comes from the government?

Doesn't 100% of Meade's money come from the government?

I don't know about 100 percent. The important point is that they form an underclass that is politically valuable to Obama and other true believers in collectivism and redistributionism.

And I'm sure they're doing it on purpose cause people love to be fucking poor and hungry. Go back to riding your bike in the grass and taunting people.
