The whole "I voted for Clinton but after this sex scandal I'm voting for Dole" schtick is as old as, well, 1996. I know you guys think it's really convincing and it sends a warm tingle up your leg to think you're perhaps convincing other Democrats or independent voters to consider Romney, but no one here believes it. No one.

Why don't you spend your time calling talk shows and see if you can't reach the masses that way?

The only people left who are undecided probably shouldn't be voting. If you can't decide between trickle down or trickle up, or you have no idea what I mean by that, then you really have no business skewing a national election with your epic ignorance.

We know where you stand, bdog. Pretending that you're still trying to decide is really more insulting to yourself than it is to us. If you're dumb enough to think that we're dumb enough to believe your horseshit, then you're dumber than I thought.

Well peej I guess I'm dumber than you thought.

I'll try not to lose sleep over it and I hope you won't either.

In all likelihood I am the only undecided voter on TDPF. Maybe Henry too though as he won't say who he supports.

Actually, undecided is the smart position.

Think of all those "early voters" who have already marked and turned in their ballots. Four weeks is plenty of time for new information to come out. Information that had previously been suppressed by the media. Breaking events (e.g. Benghazi coverup, Fast &Furious coverup) could reveal unethical or even criminal acts committed by the present administration. How stupid would you feel if you had already given your vote to Barack, next week you learn that he has authorized illegal surveillance of your email account, and on top of that you sent him money AND waited for hours up on Observatory Drive just to be used as a prop? Too late - you already voted.

Dumb sucker.

Everyone here already knows, why can't you say it?

Is it guilt?

Cmon Henry! I'll help you out.

O............

O...ba......

That's all the help you're getting Fonzie.

It is possible...that Obama has had enough.

Maybe he doesn't really want to be Potus anymore.

I would not fault him for that.

Others ask the same question; via Althouse:

Does Barack Obama really want to be president?

I hope bdog is sober by now and realizes I have supported Obama on this forum for years.

I'm not going to lie. I was wondering the same thing right away after his speech in Charlotte. Although, his speech in Madison painted a different picture, so I'm not sure if it was a lack of desire, being burned out, or missing things, like his anniversary, with a family that he loves. To win this office, you need the eye of the tiger, which does mean big sacrifices. We'll see how things play out in the next month.

And yet you still can't just say it..."I support...."

Why is that?

Btw, hope you had a good "trip" last night.

Jesus, bdog. You're going downhill fast. Your repeated question was: Who have you supported from day 1?

Everything OK at the 'dog house?

In fairness, Ducatista, it was Henry V who started that petulant "from day one" crap. I think you may have missed bdog's subtle mockery of Henry "Timothy Leary" Vilas.

Nothing like silly name calling in a failed attempt to make one's point. But carry on, if you must.

Bdog and Meade, like all of the self-styled "moderates" on this board, both operate under this misunderstanding that "tiresome" and "humorous" are synonyms. Also "disingenuity" and "philosophy," "prevarication" and "principled objectivity," as well as "disgreement" and "victimization."

What did you think of the debate?
That guy over there once might have used a recreational drug!

Meade wrote:The other woman who plans to vote for Romney seemed a little sad about it. She said she liked Obama and had high hopes for him four years ago but she and her husband owned a small business and they couldn't afford four more years like the last.

This sounds a lot more like a conversation you wish you'd had than a real occurrence.

I hope this myth of small business owners who can't or won't try to grow their business because of political or tax uncertainty is just that, a fiction. If not, it means the GOP is the party of cowardly and whiny small business owners.

My husband owns a small business, and he networks with many others. Some are Democrats, some are Republicans, some are neither. But none is waiting for "tax certainty," or "a level playing field," or whatever else Republicans bluster about, to pursue business growth and, yes, job creation.

The Republican tale of nervous business owners waiting for just the right climate to pursue growth makes the party and the (hopefully mythical) business owners look like giant pussies.
