Mr. Mayor, why are you so grumpy all of the time?

Does it bother you that people are noticing that you are trying to always do the opposite of what Mayor Dave did, whether it is Ride the Drive or the Overture Funding deal?

Why are you making such trivial issues like taxis on State Street so central in your current term? Does it embarrass you that the council is voting overwhelmingly against your proposals?

Did it surprise you that Police Chief Noble Wray covered up for your aide Sally Miley who provided the police with false information in the Hulsey case? Can regular citizens now give false information to the police?

Seriously, that's it? That the best Forons can do with an open call for questions for the Mayor?

Why not ask the mayor if he has any questions for us?

Mr. Mayor, we know that the overall rate of poverty for the state of Wisconsin has gone down significantly from 13% to 10.3% since Governor Walker was elected. How do Madison's numbers compare during your current term in office?

U.S. Census Bureau figures released Thursday show nearly 726,000 people live in poverty in Wisconsin, or about 13 percent of the population. That includes about 237,000 children. The rate has remained about 13 percent statewide over the past two years.

Article is dated September 20th of this year. I guess we could have dropped 3% in a month. Or, more likely, you're making shit up.

Stu, If the mayor is so concerned about taxis on State St and the dangers they pose, how does he feel about all of the delivery, service, and other misc. vehicles that drive up and down state street all day.

Does he still think banning sandwich boards on state street is one of the more pressing issues for the city.

Why does he want to cut funding of the Overture below levels that were given to the civic center.

Does he still believe in citizen input for his budgets as he promised when elected. Did they even occur this year.

I guess the Wisconsin Poverty Project at the U-W could be making sh*t up but it's not likely, is it?

In 2010, the most recent year for which data are available, Wisconsin had a 13% official overall poverty rate. The Wisconsin Poverty Measure, which uses a more modern and complete accounting of resources and expenses, found a significantly lower poverty rate of 10.3% statewide.

That's why we link to things when statistics are cited. Anyhow, since you read the study, you'll see Madison's rate wasn't higher than the states. So your Soglin question is moot.

Anyhow, lets stay on track. Questions for the mayor.

Here's another.

Mr Mayor, from all appearances, it seems as though B-cycle has been a huge success. I have seen the racks set up all over the city and they continue to add new ones. Do you regret not putting money into the program in return for a portion of the sales?

Mr. Mayor, you complained loudly to Dane County Executive Joe Parisi for what you saw as an un-consulted county project in the City of Madison, but then put the same un-consulted onus on the nonprofit organization Porchlight to operate your "bus ticket home" proposal. How do you perpetrate this hypocrisy with a straight face? And did no one in your inner circle advise you that shipping the homeless off to another jurisdiction might seem a little heartless?
