In an effort to clarify his position, Mr. Cathy makes clear only that he is a complete dolt:

Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy voiced his support for "Biblical families" in one of his first interviews since his earlier comments caused controversy regarding gay marriage.

Cathy told Atlanta TV station WXIA in an interview released Wednesday that families are important to "those of us who are concerned about being able to hang on to our heritage."

He added "we support Biblical families, and they've always been a part of that."

Mr. Cathy appears to have no idea that the heritage he's hanging onto has virtually nothing to do with a "Biblical family."

It's hard to tell you how I feel without hurting you
So try to think about yourself the way that I see you
Your life revolves around a force of oppression
And I won't deal with true blue devils of correction

Got no flowers for your gun, no hippychick
Won't make love to change your mind, no hippychick
No hippychick, no hip hip hip hip hip

Today we'll sit here drinking coffee in your incident room
Tonight you'll close the door
And lock me in that bare bulb gloom
Love it ain't something riding on a motorbike
And love, I stopped loving you since the miners' strike

Got no flowers for your gun, no hippychick
Won't make love to change your mind, no hippychick
No hippychick, no hip hip hip hip hip

It's hard, it's hard
It's hard, it's hard
No hippychick, no hip hip hip hip hip
No hippychick, no hip hip hip hip hip
No hippychick, no hip hip hip hip hip
No hippychick

Meade wrote:You guys need to google "holocaust", read up on just what that means, and then come back and explain to us just how it is that a guy running a business selling chicken sandwiches who expressed the same basic ideas about traditional marriage, as have the last two Democrat presidents of the United States, has somehow presaged the next mass murder of gay people.

The chick-fil-a "christians" claim that the Bible is the word of their god. They have shown a tendency to take the Bible literally. They also claim that they don't cherry-pick the Bible either. This is one of the passages they like to quote to support their anti-gay position:

Leviticus 20:13
"If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Seems pretty clear to me. This is what their god wants. They just haven't had the guts to do the large-scale killing themselves... Or they are expecting the State to do it.

The way i see it is they either have to admit that they are misinterpreting the passage, or admit that they worship a monster.

Is it possible that the whole controversy was staged by Chick-Fil-A?

According to a study by research firm Sandelman & Associates:

Consumer use was up 2.2 percent in Q3 compared to the year prior
Market share up 0.6 percent
Total ad awareness up 6.5 percent

"There was a lot of talk that this would hurt Chick-fil-A, but it actually helped the brand," Jeff Davis, president of Sandelman, tells USA Today.

Stebben, John Henry has been working tirelessly to encourage us to vote for Barack Obama for the last few months. Rather than relying on biased news sources, he uses only fair and balanced reporting to further his goals. He really wants Obama to win. If you can think of a good reason for John Henry to tell us that he wants Obama to win even though he secretly hopes that Obama loses, I'd love to hear it. Honesty isn't exactly easy to come by in a Presidential election, and I think we all owe John Henry a debt of gratitude for his even-handed opinions.

So what are you saying, Stebben? That CFA did NOT have a particularly good quarter? That the reports that they did have a good quarter are wrong?

Link, please.

BTW: It is www.seanhannity.com, not Sean Hannity. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. As I have pointed out before.

I do?

The bet doesn't expire until Monday at Midnight.

I suspect I will have to pay up but that is not particularly a hardship. It is a good organization and I should probably be sending them money anyway.

Doctors without Borders, that is. Not sure what Doctors without Boarders is. Perhaps the rich ones who don't have to rent out their basement rooms?

Are you saying that Sean Hannity does not stand behind what is posted on the website that bears his name? If so, you better tell him that his name has been hijacked by that site.

I am telling you, once again, that the website has nothing whatsoever to do with Sean Hannity.

It is owned by a guy in Georgia and is one of 1500 or so domains that redirect to John C Dvorak's and Adam Curry's twice weekly podcast. www.noagendashow.com It is a thing show fans do with idle domains to help them game Google. I own several domains that do the same thing. www.angriculture.com , .net and .org

John and Adam have even less respect for Sean Hannity than folks here do. And are even more vocal about it. I agree with them. Sean Hannity gets no respect at all from me which is one of the reasons I always use that link to get to the podcast.

Not sure "hijacked" is the right term since the owner did not take it away from Hannity (AFIK) He just registered it first. November 15, 1999, according to Whois.

I have no idea if Hannity is trying to get it from him but it has been redirecting to www.noagendashow for at least couple years now.

And that still doesn't address the question of whether or not CFA had a great 3rd quarter. Some here seem more focused on the messenger than the message.

Adam Curry has no agenda? Yet he endorsed Ron Paul for president during the GOP primary season.
