...and also, yes, Reagan did well in 1980. I think that about sums up Ned's insight in to all this; we thank you for your service, Ned. Please do not make some sort of gay bashing joke on your way out.

So let's recap: Ned, as Ned is wont to do, made disparaging, misogynistic posts. When called out, Ned attempted to deflect criticism by pointing out that two supposedly beloved Democrats (one of whom is now dead, it's always worth noting) have also been known to treat women poorly.

Two things:
1. Always great to see Ned trot out the "two wrongs make a right" argument. It remains as convincing as it ever was.
2. Ned apparently believes misogynists should be villified and not be taken seriously. Unless, of course, they are Ned, I guess...

Sad and pathetic, indeed.

I'm with Ned on this one. Why should we Republicans look for fault in our own party after a defeat like this one?

Especially when we can spend our new-found spare time daydreaming instead about Bill Clinton's big, hard... throbbing... uncut...

I'm sorry, what were we discussing again?

I find it strange that he was deeply involved in the discussions on the presidential race, yet failed to mention that Puerto Rico was voting on whether to ask Congress to give the territory statehood (which would enable Mr. Henry to vote in the next presidential election). BTW, Puerto Ricans approved that measure.

Now that the campaign's over there's no paycheck to keep the persona going. He ain't doing it for free ya know. It takes a lot of effort to craft a backstory, even one full of holes.

Damn, Ned, you turn sour fast when your side loses. It makes your "honey" and "darling" schtick sound creepy.

How about a tweet from Alec Baldwin to lighten the mood:

You know your party's in trouble when you read this: A: The rape guy lost. B: Which one?

The answer to the OP is pretty simple really.

We all know Americans weigh but one question when they head to the polls: Which candidate would you rather have a beer with?

Well, only one answer to that question this time around. If the question were "Who would you rather share a Fresca with?" the poor sonofabitch might have stood a chance.

1) The government is not a corporation.

2) Romney is too different from the 99%: he's not one of us.

3) Romney moved from "flip" to "flop" one too many times. Or many too many times.

Oh! I forgot one:

4) The first debate didn't matter. Absolutely, without a doubt, did not matter.

Because people like this were backing him and will continue the movement. Scary shit. Listen for Reagan at the end, it's classic.

Yep. There's still love and compassion in there somewhere if you look hard enough. Can't have that.

Here's a good one. Why Romney lost? Conservative echo chamber would rather tell their viewers what they want to hear than tell them the truth.
