And a sensor faucet is just a silly expensive extravagance that is going to need replacement waaay before a manual handle.
They had those sensor faucets at MATC when i was a student. Each bathroom had (x - 1) automatic sinks and (1) manual sink. Of course the automatic ones didn't turn on half the time and didn't turn off the other half the time, so everyone used the one with manual faucets.
Then they decided to "save energy" by taking away the paper towels and installing these jet-powered air hand dryers that just about ripped your skin off, so everyone started drying their hands on their pants.
I suppose their data showed we were saving energy, so it worked after a fashion.
