63-17 so far. Amazing. Pasadena, here we come...to lose again.

I think I've singled out the problem. We've been so worried about who will be quarterback that we missed the obvious solution. Don't throw the fucking ball.

Not only did the Badgers win convincingly to qualify for their third straight Rose Bowl, but on Sunday the basketball team took care of Cal and the Packers came back against the Vikings while Russel Wilson beat the Bears (in OT). A great weekend for Wisconsin sports.

Other than Abbrederis, Wisconsin's receivers are not particularly speedy. Enter Melvin Gordon running the jet sweep. Instead of making Gordon ride the pine waiting for White and Ball to depart, they decided to put their fastest, most athletic guys on the field all at the same time. The result was that when Nebraska stacked the middle, Melvin got the ball on the sweep. When Nebraska spread out to try and stop that, they ran it up the gut.

I've not been a huge fan of the "barge" formation with nine linemen, a fullback and White taking the direct snap. But the touchdown out of the barge with the handoff to Ball was maybe the best play of the season. Wisconsin's running backs have speed, quickness AND toughness and will get to the end zone, especially Ball.

That game was too much fun to watch, especially if you love to see Bo Pelini fume.

Also the hockey team took three points at league-leading Denver. Good times all around.

The Big Ten Championship game was fantastically insane football porn; as unexpected as a transgendered Asian midget gangbang snuff film at a bachelor party. But now that we've showered and basked in the glow it's time for BB to get down to the real business of winning a freakin' Rose Bowl.

He looked like Bookie standing in front of a closed restaurant on a one-hour review deadline.
