https://www.facebook.com/thehussyknowsall
http://www.southpaw-records.com/
Two Piece psych-punk band from Madison, Wisconsin. Guy/Girl. Bobby plays guitar and sings. Heather plays drums and sings. The band's 3rd LP, Pagan Hiss will be released at this show via Southpaw Records on Vinyl and CD formats (Digital Download included with Vinyl). The official release date of Pagan Hiss is Tuesday, May 7th, and the record will first be available in record stores then. This is your chance to pick up the record early! The new album, recorded and mixed by Bobby Hussy, features the most expansive palette of Hussy songs to date. Weed Seizure turned heads, and this is quite a follow-up! Psychedelic patterns, guest appearances by Dead Luke and others, and blasted rhythms. The band will be touring Europe for the month of May to promote the release of Pagan Hiss as well as three other brand new vinyl releases: A 10" EP, Clothes Mountain, for Red Lounge Records based in Germany, and two 7" singles on domestic labels Certified PR and Black Gladiator. All new releases feature no crossover to any other Hussy release (aka they all are completely exclusive and new material). When the band returns from Europe they will be embarking on a 20 date East Coast tour to support the LP. A 20 date West Coast tour will follow, along with more songwriting and recording! Come celebrate the band's new releases! This will be the band's first Madison show in months (and last show in the US until they return from Europe in June).

Multiple records on the garage rock mecca label, In The Red Records cemented the band as one of the greatest shuffling rock n roll bands from the Midwest ever. This is their first show in MANY YEARS! For fans of The Stooges, The Stones, and the MC5. Blistering, unhinged, and completely wild....all while still sounding completely timeless! This is acid drenched and beer soaked garage rock with mighty swagger and plenty of stomp! In honor of the reunion Madison's Kind Turkey Records has put together a limited edition cassette of Mystery Girls rarities, demos, outtakes and live recordings! The cassette, In The Meantime The In Between Time, will be released at this show!!!

FIRE RETARDED

A 7" recorded and mixed by Bobby Hussy is forthcoming on Indiana label GloryHole Records.

NON-TRAVELLIN' BAND
(Moon Glyph Records)
Madison psych-garage outfit will get the night going with spacey live jams and incredible lead guitar work from Dead Luke (who also added guitar and recorder to two of the Hussy's tracks on "Pagan Hiss"). The band's live show is mesmerizing and depthy while staying true to their unique lo-fi and punk aesthetic. Brand new cassette recorded by Bobby Hussy, Mixed by Dead Luke and the Non Travellin' Band coming on Moon Glyph Records! LP to follow! Features members of The Lonesome Savages!

"Madison’s stonedest genius, Bobby Hussy, returns with partner-in-crime Heather to continue refutation of the projected demise of that whole two-piece band thang! It's not dead yet! It's getting better! Utilizing a standard guitar/mouths/drums setup, but making use of enough cunning tambourinery to flummox the listener into suspecting the band is secretly augmented with Betty Cooper of the ARCHIES, “Turn It Three” sounds like what “We Are Gonna Be Friends” by the WHITE STRIPES might have sounded like if it were written by BBQ with his dick out and NOBUNNY standing on his head pouring Old Style down his throat. The lyrics deal with either the mathematics of the human condition or the grade school space-time continuum ((or possibly something even weirder and dirtier)), which clearly underscores the must-have-ness of this life-affirming slab o’ wax. Meanwhile, the potboiling “Firelung” sounds as if someone cross-bred the first DONNAS 7-inch with an UNDERTONES B-side for the express purpose of creating songwriting demos for the first RED CROSS ep. Which is, now that my lighter works and i can think clearly once again, exactly what happened." - Rev. Norb Rozek (Razorcake)

FROM BLACK GLADIATOR:
"Black Gladiator is making with the freak freak with a new EP from Madison, WI garage turkeys The Hussy... and FINALLY! This dude / dudette duo has been lighting shit on fire for a few with three full lengths, more than a handful of singles, and a brutal live show that they’ve taken across the USA a hundred times over. We put the gangsta lean on ‘em to deliver a single that fits the truly unruly BG grime agenda, so they knocked out two hyper, nasty break having punk rock nugs for the A-side. “Way With Words” and “Yr Stupid” clock in breakneck at less than three minutes total. Mortelle. But this single is ultimately built around a track for the DJ’s that the Black Gladiator Sound Lab spent over a year perfecting for the dancefloor. We snagged the swinging, Heather Hussy led “Wrong Right” off their debut LP on Slow Fizz and hooked up with Cleveland, Ohio’s E.REACT to remix this shit FRESH as a double vision four-on-the-floor shaking bbbllluuurrr with a funky fly Bo Diddley soul clap. Dig? Cool."

The Hussy - Pagan Hiss
Southpaw Records
"14 tracks of pungent and poignant psych-punk/trash-art that twists the limits of both punk and pop music. The Hussy’s third LP, and their first for Southpaw Records. The Hussy seamlessly crafts a smart and catchy record that’s full of dark depth. Bobby Hussy’s engineering ensures the new record stays true to The Hussy’s vision of a crafted and produced recording that still has firm lo-fi roots. “Mid-fi” sums it up best. Guest appearances by Jordan Davis (of The Mystery Girls fame) on organ, Dead Luke (Moon Glyph and Sacred Bones Recording Artist, Ex Pink Reason member) on guitar and recorder and Justin Aten on violin. The band is embarking on a month-long European tour in May, and they will be touring both coasts of the United States in Summer 2013.
Includes Digital download"

"Madison duo The Hussy returns to the fray with a new album of compact garage punkers that barely start on the rails, let along stay on them for very long. The record focuses on what The Hussy does best, high-octane shake with a hard dose of pop roiling underneath. The band keeps it short and sweet, tempos in the realm of frenzied and the guy / girl shout-a-longs careening across your speakers like bumper cars out of control. Recorded again by Bobby Hussy himself, the record's no rehash of their previous album, Weed Seizure, instead it adds a fleshed out bit of production without ever losing any of the immediacy in the impact. Guest appearances by Jordan Davis on organ, RSTB fave Dead Luke on guitar and recorder and Justin Aten on violin break open the double attack of guitar and drums that's been a staple of The Hussy previously. Wrapped up in another eye catcher of a cover, Pagan Hiss makes for a pretty nice vinyl pickup to add to your no doubt mounting pile in 2013."
