I love how Crean's idea of "heat of the battle" is actively seeking out and walking across the court to interrupt a guy having a conversation with someone else. This was premeditated, plain and simple. What a jackass.

Congrats to Bo Ryan for winning Big Ten Coach of the Year, as voted by both the coaches and the media. Jared Berggren got 2nd team honors from both, Ben Brust was honorable mention on both, and Sam Dekker was honorable mention from the media(also made the coaches all-freshman team). Berggren was also voted to the coaches all-defensive team.

We ain't the only ones to take notice of Tom Crean's douchebaggery.
Here's a tweet from a Chicago Tribune sportswriter:

If you asked b1g coaches to name biggest a-hole in league, might have been unanimous. And that's before crean went off on meyer.

Normally I cheer for all Big 10 teams in the NCAA Tournament. But I will admit that it wouldn't break my heart to see Crean go back to the beet farm for the off season.

I'm a little disappointed that some assistant coach didn't race across the floor and start shouting in Crean's face at the buzzer. I think even Indiana fans would have felt he deserved it.

From what I saw at the exhibition game, Marshall will be entirely capable, with some wincing due to lack of experience expected. I think Gasser's absence will be exposed more on the defensive end, but moving from Taylor to Marshall may already be a wash, defensively. Jackson has a kind of commanding presence on the floor, and I have no doubt he will get plenty of time.

No other real insights to be had from the game. Berggren and Big Frank on the floor at the same time is cool. Bo mentioned to the media that Frank is the most improved player from last year. The new Bohannon will probably get some tough rebounds while Bruiser heals.

And, oh yeah, Dekker had one out-of-nowhere rebound that showed immediately what to expect from him.

Ouch. DO NOT click on this if you have a weak stomach. Bruiser's injury
