I've never heard croci, but I looked it up and it is apparently an acceptable plural (as is crocuses.) Makes sense, since crocus comes from the Greek word krokus (which is the same in German. I'd say "hence the name of the Swiss metal band" except I have no idea why they would name themselves after a flower. Doesn't seem very metal to me.) That said, my position is that since we're speaking English, not Latin or Greek, it's just simpler to stick with English plural construction. So I'll stick with crocuses.
As to the actual topic at hand, for about a week now there's been a rabbit happily munching the exposed grass under one of my evergreen bushes. He makes me happy and has provided hours of window-gazing entertainment for my cats as well.
