Naked bike ride, June 15

Postby Beaver » Wed Apr 24, 2013 9:10 pm

Warm weather is coming which means it won't be long until the naked bike riders hit the streets. This year it will be June 15. Here are flyers:

Just gawk. I post here to help give the riders "exposure'. Pun!

It didn't rain, yeah! Most people at the Farmer's mkt seemed to enjoy the naked riders going around the square. Was fun to watch.

Was driving down East Wash on the way to work this afternoon and heard a bunch of cars honking. (Happy-honks, not f'you-honks.) Looked over and saw the naked bike riders...and there was a whole bunch of 'em. Smiled & thought to myself how much I <heart> MadTown.

I got caught behind 'em on Willy St (and I do mean "behind") and everyone looked happy. It was fun to see families on their porches or walking on the sidewalk hold their little kids up so they could watch. My friend suggested maybe when they were done parading they all went to Mickey's and drank in the nude.

Where did they go later on?

I don't know about you all, but my bike always rides naked.

Except for the wheels, of course, which are properly fendered. I mean, a bike without fenders is like a farmer without a hat.

I found it funny that more than a few nakeds wore helmets.

The Farmers' Market crowd seemed pretty enthusiastic. We were entertained imagining the two BMW SUVs who rounded the Square in the turn-only lane getting surrounded by the naked ride at the next stoplight. Capital-d Dicks boxed in by honest-to-goodness dicks. I really, really hope that happened.
