Further Details:
This event is a Mock Funeral for the 4th U.S. Constitutional Amendment.

The 4th Amendment the part of our written Bill of Rights which deals with unreasonable search and seizure.

Since 9-11 we Americans have been faced with a steady loss of our digital privacy,

violated in the sanctuary of our homes,

spied upon through our communication networks,

and harassed during travel.

Rouse yourself this Sunday, June 30th and join me in Madison at the Capitol where we can together perform a

Mock Funeral of the 4th Amendment in order to formally and peacefully recognize our disapproval with

our governments actions.

Attend this event to learn about what you can do in order to directly resist these issues including:

Protecting your data with encryption.

Using proxies and anonymous internet browsers to communicate online.

Discovering alternative currencies which you can use to complete transactions privately.

Learn your legal rights when stopped by the police.

Identify how to act when being searched.

How to file a FOIA request to learn what information the government has collected about you.

Event goers will be engaged with singing, education, speeches and funeral performance.

So are you going to teach women how to keep the government from learning that they are pregnant and interfering with their doctors, or teach minorities how to keep the government from stopping them for driving while black or how to keep from being jailed for things white people don't get jailed for, apparently to keep them from having a voice in our political system, or are you just going to advise paranoid white men on how to avoid taxes and be even more annoying that they already are?

I'd have attacked the messenger over their abuse of the Enter key. Good sweet baby Yeezus is that awful to read.

Have fun at your rally! Hopefully you get better treatment from the cops than Liberals have over the past two years.

Reason and collective sense might prevail:

Concern regarding the unexpained that we might soon forget, or more importantly never might have heard about in the first place:

I wonder if Paul Weyrich, not a favorite Wisconsinite of mine, ever stopped to think - what could go wrong? - with what he set forward back in the early 70's:

Have a look if you have time.
It seems that things are working out well for those few who have taken their time to take us here.

Hey, how did this 'event' go?

On a related note:
We do not go though our iPhoto library often, but apearantly I must of 'consented' to an demanding facial recognition function along the way. Too bad, as it appears that it is not possible to deactivate.
This is very concerning as...

OK,
LC, you did start this thread.
The following is a worthwhile read:
http://www.economist.com/blogs/democrac ... government

Whether or not LC is real, this should be recommended reading from a fairly conservative publication.

Is this not the discussion our democracy requires of us?

Ironic, that it takes a British publication to help point this out.
