Ripped from the latest headline from Reuters this morning, "U.S. taps half-billion German phone, internet links in month: report"
it has been alleged that our government has been tapping a half a billion
phone, text and internet communications per month in Germany alone. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/06/30/us-usa-germany-spying-idUSBRE95T04B20130630
Given the recent revelations of the past it is entirely possible that this allegation is true. If this is revealed to be true, if it wasn't bad enough our government spying on us, now we're spying on massive numbers of citizens in other countries; even friendly countries like Germany. One must ask, what does the U.S. gain from mining so much data from so many people? One cannot say that all those people are conspirators in some terrorist plot yet to come.
It seems to me that either Obama is so totally inept by unknowingly allowing these things to happen or he has ordered these spying programs. Either way he has easily surpassed anything Richard Nixon did, or could ever dream of when he was tapping a few phone conversations of the Democrats. In fact one could say that Obama makes Nixon look like a mere Piker when it comes to spying. Even Dick, Darth Vader, Cheney must be in awe of Obama's spying programs.
So I ask you my fellow Americans, how does it make you feel to know that your President, the one that many of you voted for, hope and change you know, is spying on so many citizens of this country and others?
A long time ago "We the People" elected to throw out the King of England for among other things as taken from the Declaration of Independence: " He has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation in the legislature, a right inestimable to them, and formidable to tyrants only."...."He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our Constitution and unacknowledged by our laws, giving his assent to their acts of pretended legislation"...And, "He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out their substance"
As the Fourth Amendment reads: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." What ever happened to that right?
So on this Fourth of July coming up, ask yourself this question: "What would those who gave the boot to the King of England say of our current Der Leader today?" A leader whose spying tactics at the very least, resemble those of a tyrant whose name is Adolf Hitler.
