Sewing Machine Sales & Repair

I'll probably go to Han's to have my old Singer repaired. However,I told Singer Co., after being a second generation, lifetime Singer fan, having to send my machine to Brookfield, is the end for me. How could a corporation just think the name alone would continue to be enough?

Sewers! Where would you shop for a new machine and have it maintained?

The place behind the McDonald's across from East Towne. Walcott's I think it's called. I've used them for years for vacuum and sewing machine repairs, and bought my White portable sewing machine there over 20 years ago...still going strong. I like them, they're fair and do good work.

Hans' all the way. They fixed up my old Singer (201, inherited from my grandmother) just fine, they also do a bang up job with sales and service of the new machines. You may want to go to both Hans and Walcott (which Violet mentioned) to see which brand you want, but for my money, Hans' is your best bet. Those folks are great.

I had to leave Han's a voice mail for sewing machine repair today. Does anyone know if he still repairs? Any experience? Other referrals?

He's still working.

We dropped off ours at Gayfeather on Willy St a few weeks ago. It's his only pickup point. There's about a month or so turnaround time. We got an acknowledgement email a week or so later.

This is our first repair with him so we don't have an opinion yet.
