Great Language Game
I find this entertaining. I got 950, though there were a few lucky guesses. I mean, South Efate??

Hey, that's cool. And ... wow, 950? Seriously? I am impressed!

Luck might play a bit of a role, but it seems pretty consistent. I tried it four times, and got the following scores: 500, 500, 450, 550.

It's getting popular enough that the site is freezing. I got to 350 with 2 lives left before it froze. It's quite fun, but I'll wait until it jumps the shark.

5850 and two clones left, then the whole programme ground to halt........................................... one of the questions was about ǂkx'ao-ǁ'ae, a language spoken by 7500 people along the main road in the caprivi strip in nothern namibia, in addition to some folks in botswana, south africa, angola &c.

the record score on this quiz is 17 360 or thereabouts

obligatory drugs reference: it is very dificult to grow opium poppies in virtually all of namibia; the okavango delta in botswana may possible -- that's right, a delta in the centre of a landlocked country. the eponymnous river flows into a depression where it fills up much of a vast swamp, which has islands in it. local rainfall in the area totals less than 250 mm; practically all of botswana and namibia are in the kahlihari desert, a cold desert not so unlike the atacama desert in chile.
all sorts of exotic critters can be found there.
