Mayor Dave's weekly whereabouts: Mayor invasion
on

I've called attention to previous mentions of the Mayors' Innovation Project on Mayor Dave Cieslewicz's weekly schedule. The MIP is a group of progressive mayors that counts our own Mayor Dave among its organizers and it will hold its summer meeting right here in Madison this week.

The group describes it this way:

Do you wonder how to...

...get ahead of neighborhoods in transition?

...expand transportation choices for your citizens?

...make it easier to bike in your city?

...improve your city's food system to benefit public health and the economy?

If so, you'll want to be at the next Mayors' Innovation Project meeting, July 30th -- Aug 2nd, 2008 in Madison WI.
We'll have the kinds of panels you've come to expect from the Mayors Innovation Project -- relevant, focused, and of course lots of time for discussion. Topics will include Transportation Choices, Equitable Development and Urban Agriculture. Timely and relevant to cities across the country, these topics also allow us to take advantage of our location -- beautiful Madison WI -- as a starting point for a broad conversation about what cities can do.

A schedule of the sessions, which take up much of the mayor's week, is available here.
