It's unclear from viewing Mayor Dave Cieslewicz's schedule this week what he's up to on Election night. Sure, you can see where and when he'll be casting his ballot (and all signs point to Mayor Dave pulling the lever for Barack Obama), but where will he be watching the returns?
The bet here is that he'll be at the High Noon Saloon for The Daily Page's Election Night Party featuring Rock Star Gomeroke, sponsored by Lake Louie Brewery. Why would I say that? Well, because that's where anyone who is anyone will be that night, watching the results pour in on the big screen as the High Noon's bartenders pour Lake Louie brew into their glasses.
When someone asks you in 25 years where you were on November 4, 2008, wouldn't you rather tell them you were belting out Stevie Wonder's "For Once In My Life" in front of a few hundred of your closest friends at Madison's Favorite Nightclub than home on your couch clicking between Brian Williams and Katie Couric?
See ya there.
