Election Day 2008: Twitter the vote in Madison and Dane County
on

Twitter your vote today!

The Daily Page is following the flurry of activity that is Election Day in Madison and greater Dane County, and we are interested in your input. What number voter are you at your polling place? How many people are there when you are? How long is the wait? What's the chatter like? Is there a deputy sheriff and/or an observer from the state attorney general's office? Any "irregularities"?

Twitter your vote. You'll be able to post info to the front page of TDP from your phone via Twitter. In order to use this tool, just follow a few simple steps.

Go to twitter.com and register for an account. Make sure that it is set up to work with your mobile device (cell phone, etc.). Then while voting or going about your business on Election Day, text any news or observations to Twitter with #tdp at the beginning of your message. That will allow us to pull it into a feed that will be published on these pages. You can also set up your device to run the feed for all #tdp posts so you can follow along when you're not near a computer. Posting to Twitter is as easy as sending a text message on your phone and posts are limited to 140 characters.

Follow voters as they twitter their Election Day experiences at polling places in and around Madison.

Voted in Fitchburg- voter 751 around 10. The line was long, but moved quickly. Do other polling places have as many election observers?

Voted in Dunkirk town hall. Voter #392. That's high. Drove by Pleasant Springs: big line out the door, and overflow parking.

By: donges (donges) @ 11/03/2008 1:58pm
