The Bike Fed needs photos. In anticipation of its new member brochure and the planned overhaul of its website, the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin is soliciting images that convey the exhilaration and fun of Wisconsin biking in all its variations.
These are myriad. From each of its distinctive state trails and proliferating bike lanes to off-road singletrack and safe routes to school, bikeway options alone present a plethora of choices. And from Bombay Bicycle Club tours and Ride the Drive to Bike the Barns, the Washington Island Ride, Door County Century, Marshfield's Cranberry Century and Monroe's Tour de Cheese, organized Wisconsin bike races and tours are measured in multitudes.
The Bike Fed likewise seeks photos to represent the growing diversity of bike types out there on Wisconsin roads: BMX, comfort bikes, commuter models, cyclocross bicycles, fixies, gleaming racers, hybrids, hand-powered models, kids' bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, recumbents, tandems, touring models, trikes, utility bikes, one-of-a-kind art bikes and so on.
Photos that make the cut will be featured in the new member brochure and online. Contributors -- who must allow the Bike Fed non-exclusive rights to their images will be notified before their photos are used. The Bike Fed promises to credit contributing photographers for their images.
