While the pundits are writing their election post-mortems, you can head to your local tavern to buy candidates a celebrative or consoling drink. Isthmus is tracking down where the candidates will be. Check back for updates as next Tuesday nears, and return that night as The Daily Page live-blogs about the day's events.
Democratic incumbent U.S. Representative Tammy Baldwin will be at the Brink Lounge on East Washington from 8-10:30 p.m. Her Republican opponent, Chad Lee, will be at the Esquire Club on Sherman, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Both candidates in the Wisconsin battle for U.S. Senate -- Democratic incumbent Russ Feingold and his Republican challenger, Ron Johnson, will be close to their homes. Feingold will be at the Marriott Madison West in Middleton. Johnson sets up camp at the AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh.
The candidate's vying in the most competitive race in Madison, for Wisconsin's 77th Assembly seat, won't be far apart. Green candidate Ben Manski will be the Great Dane in Hilldale, while Democrat Brett Husley will be at the Vintage Brewing Company on Whitney Way.
In the race for Dane County Sheriff, the Democratic incumbent Dave Mahoney will hold his party at the Comfort Suites on John Q. Hammons Drive. No word yet on where Republican challenger Shawn Haney, will be.
If you don't have a particular candidate you're pulling for, are pulling for either Republican candidate Scott Walker or Democratic candidate Tom Barrett in the Wisconsin gubernatorial race, or just want to hang out with people of a similar ideological stripe, party with the parties. The Republican Party of Dane County will hold its party at the Great Dane in Fitchburg, and the Democratic Party of Dane County will party with Feingold at the Marriott.
