I heard from a very reliable source in law enforcement that Secret Service has been in Madison, scoping out the area for a grand arrival. Who the guest of honor would be is still unknown, but one Twitter follower says the word on the street is Bill Clinton is on his way.
I doubt the rumor is based in anything but process of elimination. President Obama, despite expressing opposition to Walker's legislation, will probably not use the office of the president to get involved in state affairs. Neither will Veep Joe Biden. Jimmy Carter? I don't think so.
An appearance by Clinton would be huge. Not only would it grant even more legitimacy in the national media to an already-ground breaking week of demonstrations, but his presence would symbolize the era of prosperity, in which a Republican governor of Wisconsin was so friendly to public sector workers that the largest state union endorsed him.
