Mary Urbina-McCarthy, Barrett finance director, sent out an e-mail last night: "I'm in our situation room right now and I have an urgent update about the state of the race on the ground. Reports coming into our call center have confirmed that Walker's allies just launched a massive wave of voter suppression calls to recall petition signers. Here is what people are receiving across Wisconsin: 'If you signed the recall petition, your job is done and you don't need to vote on Tuesday.'"
Her word for it: "Disgusting."
On Facebook, Nicholas Reindl confirmed this.
Around 9:00 p.m. last night, he wrote: "Just got a phone call from 'Wisconsinites for Common Sense' telling me that since I signed the recall petition my job is done, and I didn't have to vote...mhhh."
I spoke with Reindl, 24, who works as an intern for Community Shares of Milwaukee, and he reiterated this account and said the call was from a blocked number.
