UP: B-cycle. The bike-sharing service, started in 2011, reports that rides and membership numbers more than tripled in 2012. The largest growth was among people registering with a UW email address. The company - operated by Trek - sold 2,150 annual memberships. Customers rode the bikes 94,000 miles on 63,325 trips.
