Bully
Rockstar Games (PlayStation 2)
Rated Teen
Bully has been labeled as one of those 'demon games' that will cause good little children to become evil. It's also being hailed as one of the best games of the year. The former is false, the latter true.
Bully is about the daily trials of a tough, smart-alecky reform school student. Contrary to what protesters have said, the game doesn't really turn the main character into a bully. Yes, you do get into fights, break into lockers and light stink bombs, but you do a lot of good, too. And you actually spend much of your time confronting the bullies.
Bully's depth is amazing, with a ton of things to do. Though its graphics and sound are simply adequate, its characters are well developed, making this the first non-Final Fantasy game in which I gave a damn about the plot.
