Madison YWCA up and Rick Petri down

UP: Madison YWCA. The local nonprofit launches YW Transit, which provides free rides for the poor. The service replaces the Women's Transit Authority, which shut down last year due to financial problems. YW Transit will get funding from a number of sources, including the city of Madison and Dane County. The program begins April 1.

DOWN: Rick Petri. The Madison attorney makes national news when he's arrested for drunk driving after going to the police station to pick up client Patrick DePula ' who had been arrested for the same offense. Petri is called one of the country's 'three dumbest criminals' by Keith Olbermann on MSNBC. Petri, who had been drinking before he went to bed, told police he thought he was sober enough to drive, but his blood alcohol content was slightly above the legal limit.
