This Web site tells educators how to find a Peace Corps volunteer to correspond with classes of students here in the U.S. It also gives examples of activities that help K-12 students understand the concepts of poverty and development.

Africa for Kids United Nations Cyber School Bus
This kid-friendly United Nations site allows students to search for statistical information for member states of the U.N., and it has activities to allow students to understand their peers all around the world.

UW-Madison African Studies Program
Offers a range of outreach services and a speaker's bureau. Note the K-12 educational resources, including a wonderful Internet guide, "Set Your Sites on Africa."

International Education
This site, maintained by the Asia Society in New York, helps K-12 teachers bring international activities to classrooms. It has a wonderful resource list.

Friends of Lesotho
This site was created by people who once served in the Peace Corps in Lesotho. Besides keeping past Volunteers in contact with one another, the group sponsors activities that help to fund current Peace Corps projects in Lesotho.
