A Korean film that serves as an indictment against a country's society for the way it treats those on the margins
Objective Burma
Released: 1945
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Not particularly accurate as history - in fact, the British, who were angry at the slighting of their own role in Burma, banned this movie for years - but still a roaring, grueling Raoul Walsh super-adventure: Perhaps the best of all the gung-ho pro-Army war films of the '40s.
Oblivion
Released: 2013
Rated: PG-13
Now Playing? No
Joseph Kosinski’s latest sci-fi film centers on a security repairman (Tom Cruise) who begins to question everything he knows after rescuing a beautiful stranger (Olga Kurylenko) from a downed spacecraft. The setting looks like a sleek Ikea commercial from the year 2077, but the plot is trite and the characters are boring. (M.J.)

Observe and Report
Released: 2009

In this dark comedy, Seth Rogen plays a shopping-mall security guard who suffers from delusions of grandeur. It’s maybe too dark—sometimes more sad than funny. (M.B.)
Obsessed
Released: 2009
Rated: PG-13
Now Playing? No
A woman (Beyoncé Knowles) fights back when her husband (Idris Elba) is sexually harassed by a beautiful office temp (Ali Larter). This routine mash-up of Fatal Attraction, Disclosure and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle delivers in its limited way, even though we know exactly what to expect. (M.B.)
Obsession
Released: 1976
Rated:
Now Playing? No
A homage to Hitchcock's sublime masterpiece "Vertigo". Visually, this is De Palma's loveliest film, a tale of a romantic idea fixed transpiring in a dreamlike, drizzly New Orleans and an aquamarine Florence. Schrader's scenario was cut off short, and the contrivances don't quite mesh; but parts of this film should leave you gasping. with one of the last two scores by the finest film composer of all time - the matchless Bernard Herrmann.
Obvious Child
Released: 2014
Rated: R
Now Playing? Yes
A struggling comedian (Jenny Slate) discovers she's pregnant after a one-night stand. Slate's gangbusters performance and Gillian Robespierre's daring script will steal your heart -- and perhaps break it. (J.S.)
Ocean Tribe

Like a jellyfish in the ocean, Will Geiger's Ocean Tribe floats along, minding its own business, then suddenly stings you.

George Clooney and Brad Pitt hold the screen in a perfectly paced heist movie
Ocean's Thirteen
Released: 2007
Rated: PG-13
Now Playing? No
Danny Ocean (George Clooney) rounds up his gang of thieves (Matt Damon, Brad Pitt et al.) for a third heist, targeting casino owner Al Pacino. The movie is a winning return to form, the franchise having settled into a kind of hipster equanimity. (J.R.)
Ocean's Twelve
Released: 2004
Rated: PG-13
Now Playing? No
The sequel to the remake of Ocean's Eleven is a looser, messier version, more in line with what Frank and Dino had in mind
Oceans
Released: 2010
Rated: G
Now Playing? No
The Disney nature documentary offers a lot of pretty pictures of ocean life, but no cohesive idea or innovative approach. The environmental message is calculated to be as inoffensive as possible. (S.R.)
Oceans 11

October Sky
Released: 1999
Rated: PG
Now Playing? No
October Sky is as American as apple pie--a myth about upward mobility that seems all the more mythic for having been "based on a true story."
Octopussy
Released: 1983
Rated:
Now Playing? No
There are two gems among the seven Roger Moore Bond films and this is one of them (the other is The Spy Who Loved Me). It's the same old formula: hair's-breadth escapes, travelogue spectacles, lewd innuendo and derring-do; but this time the formula jells just about right.
Oculus
Released: 2013
Rated: R
Now Playing? No
A woman (Karen Gillan) tries to reverse her brother's (Brenton Thwaites) murder conviction by showing that an antique mirror with supernatural powers committed the crime. Though the filmmakers display a real sense of intellectual playfulness in examining the mirror, they don't provide enough juicy details about this strange, dark looking glass. (M.S.)
Odd Man Out

Rated:

An IRA leader is wounded during a reckless bank robbery intended to raise funds for the movement. Separated from Hrs comrades, he wanders through Dublin, bleeding, dying, trying to find his friends, trying to evade the Black and Tans and the death which is constantly at his heels...Shot in wild angles, and draped in shadows that reflect the fever and torment of this desperate man, Odd Man Out is a minor classis of suspense and terror - one of Carol Reed's very best films.
Odds Against Tomorrow
Released: 1959
Rated:
Now Playing? No
"Heist" melodrama, based on a William McGivern novel with a crucial twist: One of the thieves is black, another a bigot. Fast, brutal sleek, this movie is a first-class riveting thriller and it was one of the three all-time favorites (along with The Best Years Of Our Lives and The Asphalt Jungle) of the great French director Jean-Pierre Melville. (M.W.)

Of Mice And Men
Released: 1939
Rated:
Now Playing? No
John Steinbeck's searingly compassionate study of migrant farm workers in the Salinas Valley - the mutual tragedy of quick-witted George and his hulking, slowwitted, unconsciously homicidal buddy, Lenny - in what many consider its classic screen adaptation. Beautifully done, sincere, still powerful.
