Too Many Girls

One of the handful of film assignments taken by the protean Broadway hitmaker, George Abbott. Thass a honk of woman!"

Released: 1969
Rated: M
Now Playing? No
Hitchcock attempts to inject some realism into the '60s spy thriller genre, with an adaptation of Leon Uris' novel about a French agent's attempt to stave off Cuban Missile Crisis.
Topaze
Released: 1933
Rated:
Now Playing? No
A little gem, based on a play by Marcel Pagnol, and executed with unerring taste by Harry D'Arrast -- a little known director of the late '20s and '30s and a worthy disciple of both Chaplin and Lubitsch. An idealistic but naive professor is persuaded to become the "front man" for an unscrupulous patent medicine company that markets "Sparkling Topaze" an allegedly beneficial product...perhaps all Perrier Water of its day. Delicious hamming by Barrymore, and an atmosphere of sunny, suave insouciance.
Topkapi
Released: 1964
Rated:
Now Playing? No
One of the ultimate caper movies: a "perfect" jewel robbery against the exotic backdrop of Istanbul. The cast mugs to the hilt and the amusing script is from Eric Ambler's The Light Of Day.
Topper Returns
Released: 1941
Rated:
Now Playing? No
More ectoplasmic high jinx with Cosmo Topper, this time involving a typically burlesqued "old dark horse" murder mystery. By now the humor is veering away from screwball romance and toward Abbott & Costello. (M.W.)
Topsy-Turvy
Released: 1999
Rated: R
Now Playing? No
Harking back to the days when the sun never set on the British empire.
Tora! Tora! Tora!

Spectacular re-creation of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor - shown from both sides. This is the film on which Akira Kurosawa, the original director of the Japanese sequences, suffered an emotional breakdown and attempted suicide. (M.W.)
Torment
Released: 1944
Rated:
Now Playing? No
A sadistic teacher tortures one of his female students to madness, while her lover struggles helplessly in the grip of emotional and psychological paralysis. A real historical curiosity: the director of record was Alf Sjoberg, but the dominant force behind the intense psychological melodrama was obviously its 26-year-old scenarist and assistant director, Ingmar Bergman. (M.W.)

A man (Colin Farrell) is tormented by nightmares that may be memories of a life he cannot recall. Director Len Wiseman's take on a Philip K. Dick short story features blazingly fast action, but there's none of the humor of Paul Verhoven's 1990 original. (M.S.)
