MovieDescription
Dressed To Kill
Released: 1981
Rated:

The movie that made Brian De Palma the bete noire of feminists and anti-violence crusaders everywhere; a shocking, perverse, amoral, sexy, bloody, horrific sendup of Psycho, with a puzzled psychiatrists, a hooker and a murder victim's brainy son pursuing a transvestite killer through a maze of corpses and red herrings. The plot is ridiculous, but De Palma knows how to put the screws to you--one pursuit-and-seduction sequence in a sterile art museum is a real stunner.

Groucho Marx is Rufus T. Firefly, the lazy lecherous prime minister of Freedonia, Zeppo is his aide, and Chico and Harpo are two scandalously inept spies sent to undermine his regime. This amazing potpourri of scatological gags, surreal slapstick and machine-gun wordplay is the Marx Brothers' finest hour--a scathing satire on government, war, and international diplomacy that leaves no sacred cow unslaughtered.
