The Out-of-Towners
Released:
Rated: PG-13

The Outback
Released: 1971
Rated:
Now Playing? No
A violent "coming of age" in the Australian bush. Strong, offbeat - perhaps a precursor of Australia's film explosion in the '80s.
The Outdoorsmen: Blood, Sweat & Beers
Released: 2005
Rated: NR
Now Playing? No
The Outrage
Released: 1964
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Kurosawa's classic Rashomon, with its multi-perspective portrayal of a murder and rape - redone as a Western (by way of the Fay & Michael Kanin stage play). No kineticism or passion in this version, though Newman once said his Mexican bandit (Toshiro Mifune by way of J. Carroll Naish) was his most creative piece of acting.
The Outside Chance of Maximillian Glick
Released: 1988
Rated: G

The outsiders
Released: 1983
Rated:
Now Playing? No
The more restrained of Coppola's two 1983 S.E. Hinton adaptations (both with Matt Dillon). It's an epic of teenage alienation as powerfully charged and feverishly impassioned as anything since Nick Ray's Rebel Without A Cause - which it rather pointedly resembles.
The owl and the Pussycat
Released: 1970
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Streisand as a whore with a heart of gold and a tongue of acid; one of her better roles, actually. (M.W.)
The Ox-Bow Incident
Released: 1943
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Walter Van Tilburg Clark's classic study of mob violence, lynching and the tortures of conscience, done as a grim, gray, stylized Western morality play. Unrelenting, extremely powerful; probably Wellman's best film.
The Oyster and the Wind
Released: 1998
Rated: NR
Now Playing? No
The Pacifier
Released: 2005
Rated: PG
Now Playing? No
The Pad ...And How To Use It
Released: 1966
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Shy bookworm whose best friend is a stud, attempts to use his buddy's tactics to bed the girl of his dreams. Based on Peter Shaffer's playlet The Private Ear; there's a nice Woody Allenish tinge to the comedy and the situation. (The title was a ridiculous attempt to cash in on Dick Lester's The Knack..And How To Get It.)
The Painted Veil
Released: 2006
Rated: PG-13
Now Playing? No
In this excellent adaptation of the W. Somerset Maugham novel, a British socialite (Naomi Watts) marries a timid bacteriologist (Edward Norton), who takes her to China on his quest to promote hygiene. Itâ??s a vivid portrait of a bitterly antagonistic marriage, combining Hollywood appeal and literary sensibility. (M.I.)
The Pajama Game
Released: 1957
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Charming musical about labor disturbances at a lingerie factory; Doris Day, believe it or not, is the head of the union's grievance committee. The eye-catching choreography is by the young Bob Fosse.
The Paleface
Released: 1948
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Cowardice and concupiscence in the Old West, with one of the cinema's legendary noses poking through buttons and bows and down a legendary cleavage.
The Palm Beach Story
Released: 1942
Rated: NR
Now Playing? No
The Panic in Needle Park
Released:
Rated:

The Paradine Case
Released: 1948
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Fascinating, atypical Hitchcock: a psychological trial melodrama in which a respectable British barrister becomes obsessed with his client - who may be both a nymphomaniac and a murderess. The film gives a real sense of evil beneath polished surfaces; had Hitchcock pulled off the casting he wanted - Laurence Olivier as the barrister, Greta Garbo as his client and Robert Newton as her lover, it might have become on of his acknowledged classics. (M.W.)
The Parallax View
Released: 1974
Rated: R
Now Playing? No
Political assassination and its even more terrifying aftermath. The best of all the left-wing, anti-CIA paranoid thrillers; anyone who's ever thumbed, spellbound, through the critiques of the Warren Report will probably love it.
The Parent Trap
Released: 1998
Rated: PG
Now Playing? No
The Party
Released: 1968
Rated: PG
Now Playing? No
Bumbling movie extra Hrundi V. Bakshi (Peter Sellers) wreaks havoc on partygoers at a Hollywood soiree.
The Party's Over
Released: 2003
Rated: NR

Philip Seymour Hoffman infiltrates the Democratic and Republican conventions
The Passenger
Released: 2005
Rated: PG-13
Now Playing? No
The Passion of the Christ
Released: 2004
Rated: R

Jesus is smashed, baskd and lashed for our sins
The Passion Recut
Released: 2005
Rated: NR

The Passionate Plumber
Released: 1932
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Post-talkie Keaton - a parody of Her Cardboard Lover, which still shows flashes at his poker faced comic genius. (M.W.)
The Patricia Neal Story
Released: 1981
Rated:
Now Playing? No
The real-life story of actress Patricia Neal's struggle to recover following a stroke and of the support of her husband, writer Ronald Dahl. Inspiring, even when you recall that Dahl was cheating on Neal (and would eventually leave her) even as this tribute to them was being filmed.
The Patriot
Released:
Rated: R
Now Playing? No
The Pawnbroker
Released: 1965
Rated:
Now Playing? No
Edward Lewis Wallant's compassionate novel of a Nazi death-camp survivor now operating a ghetto pawnshop, fashioned - via all sorts of elliptic time and editing devices - onto a sort of "Harlem, Mon Amour". The script is the problem here, but this portrayal of an emotionally cauterized human being forced back into world of pain and suffering has some great moments. The greatest of all is Juano Hernandez' withering, devastating cameo as the old man who "just wants to talk."
The Peacekeepers
Released: 2005
Rated: NR
Now Playing? No
The People That Time Forgot
Released: 1977
Rated:

...And that you should forget as well. (M.W.)
