It was well over a week ago when the recently-teenaged pop star Paolo Nutini performed to a full house of fans at the Barrymore Theatre. This is a much larger room than the Annex, where the Scottish singer performed back at the end of January. His fandom in Madison has grown considerably.
"The whole night was just rockin'! Paolo sang a mixture of his slower songs, new songs, old covers songs," writes one fan who attended the show. "The highlight of the night for me was 'Bang, Bang'!" In addition to this song originally performed by Cher, Nutini sang several covers, including classics by Billy Joel, Bo Diddley, and Harry Nilsson.
"The whole night was magical, everyone was jumping," she exclaims.
A live concert video of Nutini performing Nilsson's "Everybody's Talkin'" at the Barrymore in his encore follows, along with clips of a half dozen more songs.
