It's the most wonderful time of the year, the season celebrated in a new installment of Celebrity Bric-a-Brac Theatre by Blame Society Productions. Like their inaugural episode, this online video short tells the story of a holiday's origins, at least in the world of knick-knacks that speak with immediately recognizable voices.
"Christmas spirit Bill Cosby turns John Madden into Santa Claus and starts the tradition we know as Christmas," reads the description for the four-minute tale written and directed earlier this month by Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda. The short also sports the voices of Jack Palance, Morgan Freeman, David Letterman, and others, each accompanying dolls, a cookie jar, a soap dispenser, and other figurines large and small. Like the original, all of the characters were voiced by Jason Stephens of Q106 and The Monkey Business Institute improv troupe.
This latest very special episode, fimly in the tradition of stop-motion Christmas television tales, follows below.
This seasonal creation by Blame Society is accompanied by two other new videos starring St. Nick himself, the jolly old man portrayed in each by Sloan. The first clip is a series of outtakes from their new short CSI: North Pole on Super Deluxe. The second urges viewers to purchase Chad Vader DVDs as Christmas gifts, meanwhile. This series that the local comedians are best known for looks like it will return for a second season next year. "We will be making new Chad Vader soon," declares Blame Society. "We are waiting on a very special something to happen and then you will understand the wait. Thank you for your patience."
