If Annie Hall had been told from Annie Hall's perspective, it might have come out something like Love & Sex, which stars Famke Janssen as a Cosmo-style magazine writer who has to sort through a lot of frogs to get to the prince. Then again, Woody Allen never dealt with, say, farting in bed, so maybe a better comparison is that TV show where the women spend all their time on the intricate mechanics of getting laid; call it Love and Sex and the City. A romantic comedy that wants nothing more than to tickle our fancies (and our fannies), Love and Sex coasts along on the easy charm of Janssen and Jon Favreau, who plays a prince who turns into a frog and then back into a prince. The movie's a little thin; it doesn't add up to more than the sum of its parts. But writer-director Valerie Breiman does a nice job of conveying how, when you meet someone new, the wedding bells have a way of drowning out the warning bells.
