Previously released on his 2006 album Escapism, "Broadcast Distortion" has become a signature track for Eli Cash, a Madison-based emcee, producer and musician originally hailing from Racine. Now, working with his collaborator the Jolly Taxpayer at lowKey Productions, this song has been released as a music video. It features Cash's decidedly non-obsolete vernacular set atop a sprightly beat and amongst a variety of Madison locales, including the steps of the UW Memorial Union and the rooftop level of a campus parking garage.
The music video -- directed and edited by Leon F. Chen -- follows below.
Things have been busy at the lowKey studios over the last couple of months. In addition to working on the video, the Jolly Taxpayer has been recording and mixing the debut album by the new local group Kieran & the Plague, a new album from Liquid Form and Mind's Eye Rhyme, along with a lowKey mixtape and new material by Eli Cash.
More information about Cash is available from his MySpace page and a profile at MadisonHipHop.com, with "Broadcast Distortion" available for listening on the lowKey MySpace page and for download at elicash.com.
