Songs about girls are, like, so yesterday. Well, at least utterly hetero ones by boys with high voices and big dreams of rounding second shortly after the first cherry Coke has been quaffed.
But don't tell that to Kyle Motor. On "Sick," his effervescent paean to lovesick fools everywhere, he moons over the sweetest emotion like a pathetic little puppy. And, man, does he do it well in this song off All Day Long, one of two new albums just released by The Motorz.
That's not the end of his heavy lifting here either. The whole tune's hung on a Motor-generated guitar riff that takes all that is good about Ravi Shankar and the Zombies and whips it up into some very savory psychedelia.
Mmm, mmm good.
