Frank Productions sets up the Freakfest stage on Capitol Square as Wisconsin Badgers fans walk down State Street following Saturday's Homecoming game.
City of Madison and Frank Productions crew are busy on State Street this Saturday afternoon, readying traffic barriers and erecting the three stages for the Freakfest Halloween party. "The set-up is going good," says Dave Maynards, who is observing the preparations on the stage located on the Capitol Square. "That's in the process of getting set, and the others are in place. We're just checking sound and lights and working on the finishing touches."
There is one last minute change, though. Ky-Mani Marley will not be performing at the party "due to unforeseen circumstances." In his place, local favorites Jah Boogie's map of Freakfest. "We're nearly ready to go," declares Maynard.
