One of the most highly-praised elements of the city's approach to managing the Halloween party on State Street was the placement of the main entertainment stage at the Capitol end of State Street. Drawing an increasingly large crowd through Saturday night, the stage was instrumental in reducing crowd sizes at the usual flashpoints for trouble five blocks to the west. The final act to perform was the Madison-based Mighty Short Bus, who play a guitar-heavy rock sound.
Two brief clips of the Mighty Short Bus show -- shot by Isthmus production design artist David Michael Miller -- follow below.
The first clip shows the crowd (including a human-sized banana) dancing to in front of the stage.
