Regulars on State Street probably notice that Madison’s most famous street looks a little different these days. Earlier this month, Gus Paras, owner of the Orpheum Theater, had the building’s iconic sign removed. As Jay Rath reported in last week’s Isthmus, that sign wasn’t the original. Craftsmen are now at work building one that will look like 1927 version, the one used when the theater opened. He spoke to Dylan Brogan, producer at WORT-FM’s In Our Backyard, about the story.
