With the months-long process of determining the 2009 Madison budget now in the rearview mirror, the schedule for Mayor Cieslewicz this week is a bit more mundane. Meetings with city staff and alders dominate, along with a regular assortment of lunch appointments and media appearances. There's even a little pre-holidays time off in the mix.
The mayor is on vacation all day Wednesday and Friday afternoon, a prelude to the even longer break coming next week with Thanksgiving. Things are going to be getting quite busy in Madison politics before too long, though, with the new election cycle for alders along with the much higher profile race for Dane County Executive.
