Promega Corporation presents 'Vital Signs,' an eclectic, all-media group show, featuring the South Central Chapter of Wisconsin Visual Artists (WVA). Through the use of imagery, color, shape, or texture, approximately 60 WVA artists interpret the 'Vital Signs' theme beyond the prominent medical meaning - pulse, temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate. Exhibiting artists explore aspects of the words "vital" or "signs" and celebrate life in diverse forms. While some members portray what is vital to their mental or physical health, others depict the signs that guide us, both literally and figuratively.
Promega Summer Art Showcase, 'Vital Signs,' features Wisconsin Visual Artists (WVA).
Wisconsin Visual Artists (WVA) is a not-for-profit membership-based organization dedicated to promoting, developing and encouraging the creative visual arts in Wisconsin. The oldest art organization in the state, WVA comprises artists working in a wide array of media, as well as supporters of Wisconsin art.
The Summer Art Showcase opening reception will be held on Tuesday, June 10 from 4:30pm - 6:30pm at the Promega BioPharmaceutical Technology Center in Madison and will feature a performance by Tony Brown, Andy Ewen and Jim Schwall. The exhibit runs from Tuesday, June 10, 2014 through September 26, 2014, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
