L'Etoile's farm-to-table philosophy results in amazingly creative, nuanced dishes (best dish of the summer: Basil & Chive Crêpes filled with Summer Squash, Mushrooms, Sweet Onions & Fresh Chèvre, served with Roasted Garlic-Braised Tuscan Kale, Summer Vegetable Ragoût and Red Currant Gastrique). If you prefer bolder flavors over delicate touches, L'Etoile may not be for your palette; next to Sanford in Milwaukee, I personally still consider L'Etoile to be Wisconsin's finest restaurant.
