6 studious working women went into a BAR for a sophisticated brunch. 6 women walked out with a bad taste in their mouth, and it wasn't from the food. Food was ok, service was horrible. the 'manager' was rude she told us that she had complaints about us being loud and 'vulgar' which were completely false. They had lots of people in there and the music was loud. She was so RUDE! Don't go there unless you want bad service and mediocre food.

Be ready to be SCREWED & not communicated to. Their specialty Sazerac manhattan with Absinthe drink is $7. I asked the bartender for just a Rye Manhattan, and specified not their Saerac with Absinthe. When not specifying a brand, normally you would expect the rail brand to be less expensive than the specialty drinks. They charged me $9.00 for a 2 ounce cocktail. Their explanation - they used Buliet Rye - not a rail brand, and worse yet, Bulliet is the same price per bottle as Sazerac.

Jacs is decent at best. I went for brunch with high hopes and received poor service from the moment I walked in the door. The building atmosphere is great, the service and the food really were not. The food was nothing special, I've made better at home and had better elsewhere for much less. The beer was over-priced and the menu underwhelming. If you're looking for a good gastropub, go to Brasserie V.
